Windows Our ultra-tight fitting, low draft windows keep the cold of the winter and the heat of the summer out while also helping to reduce the amount of noise that comes from the street. Low emissivity (low-e) window glazing helps control solar heat gain and loss to add to the energy savings.

Insulated Concrete Forms Insulated concrete form (ICF) construction used at all exterior walls helps provide a much tighter wall enclosure that leads to much higher energy efficiency, a quieter interior, and also provides a very strong structure that can withstand natural disasters.

Pre-stressed Hollow Core Plank Dense, concrete plank floor construction helps achieve a quiet sound barrier between apartments.

Solar Panels The solar photovoltaic electricity system on the roof assist in producing energy on site (which lowers the building’s carbon footprint and makes the neighborhood air that much cleaner) via the lowered amount of fossil fuels needing to be consumed for the buildings to operate.

Cogeneration System The highly efficient gas fired cogeneration system installed within the building serves two purposes. It produces domestic hot water and electricity which results in a significant reduction in the building’s carbon footprint. In addition, the system automatically serves as a backup generator when there is an electrical utility blackout in the area. This system will allow for normal operation of the hallway/stairwell lighting, fire alarm system, water booster pump, and the hot water circulating pumps during utility outages.
